Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the iYinYang brand websites and apps — including iYinYang, YinYangmate, and iYinYang AI (the “Services”) — handle information. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operators of these Services. We design for privacy: astrology and chart features are built to keep personal details on your device whenever practical.

This page is a standard consumer-facing template for App Store and website use. It is not legal advice and has not been certified by counsel for every jurisdiction.

1. Who this applies to

This Policy applies to visitors of iyinyang.com (and related pages) and users of our mobile applications. Platform operators (Apple, Google) have their own privacy practices for App Store / Play purchases and account data.

2. Information you provide

Depending on the app and features you use, you may enter:

• Profile names or labels you choose
• Birth date, and optionally birth time and location (for charts, ascendant, BaZi, or compatibility)
• Questions or text you type into Ask / chat-style features (where offered)
• Support emails you send to support@iyinyang.com

Birth-related details are used to compute readings and charts you request. Treat them as sensitive personal information and only enter data you have a right to use (for example, family members who consent, or fictional demo profiles).

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide Chinese astrology, compatibility, BaZi, and related educational features on your device
• Remember preferences you set in the app (for example, appearance)
• Respond to support requests
• Improve reliability and fix bugs (using crash or diagnostic data only if you or the platform share it with us under applicable settings)
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your chart or birth data for third-party advertising.

4. On-device processing & sync

iYinYang and YinYangmate are designed so that profile and reading data stay on your device (and, where you use platform features, within your Apple/Google account backups or sharing you initiate). We do not operate a general-purpose account system that collects your chart data on our servers for those classic apps.

iYinYang AI computes chart math on device. Free use is local-first. If you subscribe to Pro and opt in to private Continuity / iCloud sync, selected data may sync via Apple’s CloudKit to your private iCloud database — not to a public social graph. You can turn sync-related features off in Settings where offered.

Optional AI explanations (for example, Apple Intelligence when available) process prompts on device or under Apple’s terms; we do not use those features to build advertising profiles.

5. Purchases & subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We receive limited purchase or entitlement signals needed to unlock paid features (for example, subscription status). We do not receive your full payment card number.

6. Website

Our marketing website may use standard hosting logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and basic operations. If we add analytics or cookies later, we will update this Policy and, where required, provide consent controls.

7. Sharing

We share information only when:

• You choose to share (for example, email/SMS share of a reading from YinYangmate)
• A service provider assists hosting or email under confidentiality obligations
• Required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
• In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with notice where required)

8. Retention

Data you store in an app generally remains until you delete it, uninstall the app, or clear related iCloud data. Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and meet legal obligations.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to our Services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; please use device passcodes and keep your OS up to date.

11. Your choices & rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. For app data on your device, you can usually delete profiles or uninstall. For support-related data or other requests, email support@iyinyang.com. You may also adjust platform privacy settings (iCloud, analytics, App Tracking) on your device.

12. International users

If you access the Services from outside the country where the Services are operated, your information may be processed where we or our providers operate, subject to applicable law.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
